Club Sando and Police FC both secured 3-1 wins over St Ann’s Rangers and Morvant Caledonia United to climb up the Digicel T&T Pro League table on Sunday.

At Naparima College Ground, Lewis Street, San Fernando, Akeem Roach carried his league leading tally to eight goals with a double as Club Sando came-from-behind to whip Rangers .

The visitors took the lead as early as the eighth minute through Jomoul Francois, his fifth of the campaign but Roach drew Club Sando level in the 26th for a 1-1 half-time score.

Two minutes after the restart, Keron Cornwall put Club Sando ahead 2-1 before Roach sealed all three points with his second item in the 69th to move to 13 points from nine matches, level with fourth placed Ma Pau Stars which faces W Connection at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva from 8pm tonight (Tuesday).

And at Morvant Recreation Ground, Park Street, Morvant, Police FC got goals from three different players to hand host Morvant Caledonia United, yet another home loss.

Team captain, Ryan opened the scoring in the 34th minute with his fourth league item, but on the stroke of half-time Densil Theobold had Morvant Caledonia United on level terms.

In-form Elijah Belgrave restored the Lawmen slim lead in the 62nd and five minutes later Keion Wilson pushed the margin to 3-1, with his fourth of the league season as well, after which Police held firm to seal a second win on the trot as well and join St Ann’s Rangers on 11 points.

On Friday night, Darrren Mitchell scored with a minute left on the clock as two-time defending champions Central FC came from behind to edge San Juan Jabloteh 2-1 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.

Jabloteh, coming off a 3-0 home loss to second placed W Connection a week ago to the date led 1-0 at the half-time interval, thanks to a strike from Nathan Lewis, his second in three starts since returning to competitive action.

However, with 14 minutes left on the clock Central FC drew level via Jem Gordon, and with a minute left in regulation-time Mitchell snatched all three points for the Dale Saunders-coached club to move to 25 points, six ahead of W Connection and nine clear of third placed San Juan Jabloteh.

The win also guaranteed Central FC capture the Rawle Fltecher Trophy as winners of the First Round of the league as W Connection its closest rival, only one match left to play in the round, against Ma Pau Stars at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva from 8pm tonight (Tuesday).
